Famous Stars
Vega
I chose famous stars to research next because I am very interested in learning about the stars I’ve seen every night, but never knew anything about.

Vega is a bright blue star that anchors otherwise faint Lyra constellation (the Harp). With Altair (from Aquila) and Deneb (from Cygnus) it creates the summer triangle. It is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, and the fifth brightest star in the night sky and second brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is a white dwarf star; together with Arcturus and Sirius, it is one of the most luminous stars in the Sun’s neighborhood. Vega’s history of study has led it to be called: “arguably the next most important star in the sky after the Sun.”
