Beta2 Sagittarii

Sagittarius Constellation
Beta2 Sagittarii

I chose the Sagittarius Constellation (The Centaur/Archer) as my first celestial body because it is my birth sign, as I was born in December. I am absolutely, annoyingly independent, thus, I identify with this star sign a lot.
This constellation was categorized by 2nd-century astronomer Ptolemy with 48 other constellations. It remains one of the 88 modern constellations. This constellation (nicknamed The Teapot for its shape) can be seen by the naked eye.

This star, Beta2 Sagittarii , along with its closely related star, Beta1 Sagittarii are shared between two star systems. The two stars are separated by  0.36o in the sky. Their traditional name is Arkab. Beta2 is often called Arkab Posterior since it leads Beta2 across the sky. Prior Arkab is classified as a giant star.
