Questions

- Identifying a plant correctly is crucial to survival. It is important to recognize plants correctly so that you do not accidentally ingest plants that could be harmful or potentially fatal.

- It is important to recognize medicinal and edible plants of all regions because there is no guarantee that you will be in a familiar region when you need to use these resources for survival. If you survive a crash and are stranded in an unfamiliar territory, you will need to identify the region and already know the plants that reside there.

-It would make a significant difference to your medicinal plant knowledge if you were traveling in different seasons. Plants grow and mature in the seasons they are living through. Within their different life cycles, plants will develop different chemical properties, giving them a different medicinal uses depending on what season it is.

-I would be significant to develop relationship with locals about their plant habitat because the region they live in might have new or unspecified plants that outsiders have no knowledge on. The only way to learn of the properties of these plants would be to contact the people that live around them or use them.

-If I was found without traditional medicine, I would trust my knowledge of local flora to treat an illness or disease. I would rather at least try to heal myself so I have a chance at survival, rather than not giving myself a chance at all by not doing anything.
